ESSAY 2001-2002

1. ASU MBA students are high energy, culturally diverse, and professionally focused in their pursuit of self-improvement and career advancement. They embrace the ASU MBA experience as a beginning to a life-long relationship with classmates and the Business School. Give examples of your most distinguishing personal/professional traits (i.e., leadership, contributing team member, etc.), and how your presence would contribute to the ASU MBA "community"?

2. The ASU MBA enjoys national prominence in a number of curricular areas of study, all intensive managerial specializations -- each critical to global businesses and able to assure your marketability in an increasingly competitive business environment. Which of our many curricular specializations offered is of most interest to you at this time -- and how will its completion further your personal and professional career plans?

3. Why is now a critical time for you to enter the ASU MBA?

 

ESSAY 2002-2003

Responses should be limited to no more than 700 words per essay (i.e., approximately two (2) double-spaced pages per essay).

1. The ASU MBA candidate is expected to have a strong and continually progressive career path with realistic outcome expectations of how the ASU MBA experience will contribute to realization of that vision. Which of our curricular strengths is of most interest to you at this time -- and how will its completion further your professional career plans?

2. The ASU MBA graduate must be viewed by potential employers as having exceptional leadership qualities, intellectual strength, senior-level career-path aspirations, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a readiness to immediately contribute to their organization. Give specific work-setting examples of your abilities in each of these areas.

3. ASU MBA students are expected to be high energy, culturally diverse, socially involved, and professionally focused in their career pursuits. Describe which aspects of your personal background, life experiences, values, and/or social interests -- outside of work -- most distinguish you as an individual, and how they can enrich the experiences of your fellow classmates.
